Our Services

Lift · Shift · Level · Prop · Re-Pile

We’re all about solutions. Which is why our business was built on solving people’s property challenges. We achieve this with a team of engineering, quantity surveying, and construction experts. They combine experience, modern practices, and Kiwi ingenuity with our industry-leading systems on every project. As New Zealand’s only end to end property solution experts, we’re committed to solving your property challenges from start to finish.

Heavy Lifting

We match our specialised equipment to the task at hand. High-strength manual jacks may be required for certain sites while industry-leading hydraulic jacks can lift the heaviest of houses while eliminating pressure points. Lifting is the first step for most projects.

A house must be lifted before it can be shifted or levelled.

Our expert team have the knowledge and experience to provide the right solution for every scenario.

  • Enable a basement conversion for additionalliving space, an internal access garage, or storage under the house.
  • Add a storey to accommodate a large family, rent out the ground level, or enable spaciousliving above with bedrooms below.
  • Achieve a better view with an elevated aspect – catch that sunrise and watch the dolphins play in the bay.
  • Future-proof your home against rising sea levels and coastal erosion.
  • Provide access to under the house for foundation assessment, repair, rebuild, and replacement.

Heritage Specialists

We specialise in heritage buildings and architectural homes. Intricate, detailed, heavy – our experienced team will have a solution to help.

On-Site Shifting

We have the equipment and expertise to shift and slide houses across sites to a new location temporarily or permanently. We will assess your site and requirements before providing the right solution for your situation.

We’re here to help you access your land and achieve your property goals.
  • Unlock land for property development. You may have enough land for a subdivision, but the existing house is in the wrong position.
  • Allow the creation of a driveway or theextension of a driveway for better access byshifting the house across the site.
  • Slide the house back a few metres to allowfor off-road car parking or the addition of a garage.
  • Build new foundations. The house would be shifted off the old foundations and returned once the new foundations were complete.
  • Achieve a better view or catch more sun during the day. For example, a cold house can be spun several degrees to a northern aspect.

“We have worked with Rod on numerous projects around the Auckland region including foundation re-level projects, temporary propping projects for basement level developments, high-lift methods for foundation re-builds, high-lift methods for creating a new ground floor structure and putting the original building on top to create a two-storey structure, retaining wall structural design for landslip remediation, and many more.”

Precision
Levelling

We use a unique slab levelling system, jack and pack piles, or underpinning, plus cutting-edge zip-level survey and analysis to achieve consistently accurate floor levels. These industry-leading systems are combined with our team’s levelling expertise. Every house is different, and sites vary in complexity, so we tailor our approach to your situation.

Achieve accurate floor levels with our specialist equipment and expertise.

If your home is particularly heavy or intricate, we have a wealth of experience in heritage buildings and architectural houses. Your house might need levelling because:

  • You’re planning a renovation and requirelevel floors before new joinery can beinstalled.
  • The house may have undergone settling overthe years and need to be re-levelled. This is common in older houses and those builtnear marshland and bodies of water.
  • Subsidence may have occurred or been in theprocess of occurring causing your house to become un-level.
  • Do you ever feel off-balance? Does the dog’s ball roll to the same corner? Levelled floors can support more comfortable living.
  • Your house may need to be levelled to rest safely on its original foundation.

Safe Propping

Once propped by us, excavation and building can safely take place underneath a house. Every House Lifters project complies with health and safety regulations to ensure the safety of everyone on site. We combine this with industry-leading equipment so that excavation and building can occur underneath a propped house.

Health and safety are at the heart of every House Lifters project.

Our experienced team is recommended by Worksafe and local councils for house propping projects. This is because we demonstrate a relentless commitment to safety. Your house might need propping to:

  • Hold the house in place while excavation happens underneath to create usable space. This is often done to create an extra living Storey or basement storage.
  • Allow contractors to work beneath the elevated house safely. They might be fixing plumbing, doing groundworks, or repairing foundations.
  • Provide an engineered solution to ensure that the building is not going anywhere while people are working on the site.
